Couscous “what gave the house”

Image

Or a recipe that you can make exactly the same, but also completely different.

Amount: 1-2 portions

Ingredients

  • couscous (but if you prefer bulgur, it can also be made from it) – for a portion about half a cup
  • pickled corn – about half a can is enough for one portion
  • 1 tomato
  • 3 dried tomatoes
  • handful of olives
  • handful of dried mushrooms
  • 1 tuna
  • 1 onion
  • salt, pepper, or some dried herbs (thyme, basil, anything you have) – amount to taste

Instructions

Prepare the couscous according to the instructions on the package. Season with salt, pepper or your favorite spice mix. Then we add chopped tomatoes, olives, pickled corn, roasted onions finely chopped (but it can also be fresh). Mushrooms can be any one – champignons need to be peeled, cut into slices and pan-roasted. Dried mushrooms should be boiled in salted water for a while. But for “non-lovers” of mushrooms, of course, it is possible without them. We often add other things that are just at hand – Balkan cheese, seeds, pepper, whatever you like. Mix everything up. When serving, I also put canned tuna on top. It’s a bomb!

Bon appetit from Eliška from FPR!
