A safe and inclusive environment for everyone
As part of the Information and Counselling Centre of the University of West Bohemia, we are introducing a new service – the role of a contact person for inclusion and diversity.
Our aim is to provide a safe space where everyone can find support if they encounter barriers, experience unfair treatment, or simply need to share their experiences.
At the University of West Bohemia, we believe that everyone has the right to study and work in an environment where they feel safe, respected, and accepted. That is why we support the principles of diversity and actively work towards building an inclusive culture. If you encounter barriers, unfair treatment, or simply need a safe space to share your experiences in your academic or work environment, you can reach out to the contact person for inclusion and diversity.
This service is available primarily to UWB students, but also to employees dealing with issues of inclusion and diversity in connection with students. It offers discreet support, crisis intervention, and therapeutic conversations. Within the service, your situation will be assessed, and you will receive guidance in finding the next steps — whether by using the university’s services (e.g., the Information and Counselling Centre / ICC Psychological Counselling Centre, support groups, ombudsman) or through connections with partner organizations such as Pilsen Pride, S barvou ven, or other NGOs supporting diverse identities and experiences. The service is free of charge, and consultations can take place in person (at ICC premises or Kulturka) or online.
